The best glute exercises using only dumbells
Glute exercises are requested a whole lot these days. We now yearn for a resounding ‘YES’ when we ask, ‘does my bum look big in this’? It’s a bit of a leap from the ‘skinny’ physique we all seemed to prefer a few years ago. Luckily, being healthy and muscular suits us just fine. Thanks 2016.
How Do Glute Exercises Work
There are heaps of glute exercises you can complete at any gym. You can even complete glute exercises with nothing but two dumbells and a head full of inspiration. Cue inspiration.
When you complete a glute exercise you are working these muscles:
The Gluteus Maximusis the largest of all three gluteus muscles and makes up the entire appearance of the Gluteus Minimus.
The Gluteus Minimus is the smallest of all three glute muscles, located beneath the Gluteus Medius.
The Gluteus Medius is the upper outer of the glute.
Other factors that may impact your ability to build a booty
This year is the year that I found out butt implants were a thing (yay?). Unfortunately for some, if you possess an exceptionally small amount of muscle mass on your backside – it’s probably due to your hereditary/genetics.
Sitting down for long periods during the day
Unfortunately for office workers, when you sit down all day, you’re allowing your glutes to shut down during that period. This tends to cause tightness in your hip flexors and throw off your posture, causing back pain.
